DNA Art turns your genetic profile into a striking, modern image in the style of a laboratory DNA “fingerprint”. It is created from a simple cheek swab in our NATA-accredited laboratory in Melbourne, the same lab that invented the world’s first home DNA test in 1997. You receive it as a high-resolution digital file, ready to print, frame or share.

How it works
1. Order and swab
Order online and we post your swab kit with Australia Post the same business day. Rub the swab inside your cheek (it takes a minute and doesn’t hurt) and post it back to our Melbourne lab.
2. We profile your DNA
Our scientists extract your DNA and build your DNA profile in-house. Your sample is never sent to another company.
3. Your art arrives
Within 4–6 business days of your samples reaching us, you receive your DNA Art file by email, with your DNA profile and a labelled diagram explaining every band.

Questions
What do I receive?
A high-resolution digital image of your DNA Art in your chosen colour, plus your DNA profile and a labelled diagram showing what each band means and, for family artwork, how it was inherited. Print it at any size you like.
How much does delivery cost?
Your swab kit is posted anywhere in Australia: $9 tracked, $18 tracked both ways, $14 Express Post, or $28 Express Post both ways (we include a return Express envelope). All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.
Can I use a sample other than a cheek swab?
Yes. We can also work with plucked hair (with roots), a toothbrush, nail clippings and other samples for an extra fee. Call us on 1800 000 362 to discuss.
Does DNA Art reveal anything about my health?
No. The DNA regions we use contain no health or medical information. Your profile does use the same regions most DNA labs use, so it can help show close family relationships.
What happens to my sample?
Every sample is tracked with a unique code in our laboratory and securely destroyed once your DNA has been extracted. We never share your DNA information.
